#TeacherBae

Earlier this week, Bossip asked it's followers if "Ms. Thicky Fine Teacher Bae" was dressed inappropriately for school. This ultimately led to Patrice Brown, an Atlanta woman, being deemed the "sexiest teacher alive".

Pictures depicting her in a classroom while wearing a form-fitting dress were enough to spark a firestorm of tweets both for and against her outfit choices. Now here's the funny part - The Atlanta Public School System released a statement reassuring people that she's not a licensed teacher but is in fact a teacher's aide and was given "guidance" about the APS Dress Code and her presence on social media. From the looks of her Instagram, where she has deleted pictures of her in classrooms, this is probably true.

Although the focal point of the argument was a fallacy, it did open up another discussion on how black women are often shamed for a body type that they can't control. Let's be honest, no matter what Ms.Brown wore, people would still ogle at her. Some things you just can't hide.

But despite the unwanted attention, Patrice has been trying to keep it positive and posted a picture on her Instagram depicting the words "This Too Shall Pass".

What are your thoughts? Do you hate it when Twitter jumps the gun without facts? Do you hate women being body shamed? Do you think if a real teacher wore it, it would still be fine? Comment below.
