Trans People Aren't The Issue, We Just Want to Pee

Never in my life would I think that I would witness grown men and women argue about letting someone take a piss, but here I am.

This entire issue is actually very sad and pathetic. I would like to think that America had more sense and education, but again this is America we’re talking about.

Transgender people are not this issue.

I’ll say this again.

TRANSGENDER PEOPLE ARE NOT THE ISSUE.

Transgender people are just in the bathroom for two things: to go number 1 or to go number 2. The worse a transgender person can do in a bathroom is stink the place up. That is the worst that they can do. America has this mentality of seeing transgender people, especially transgender women, as big burly predators who slapped on a dress and a wig. They don’t legitimately see them as women. If they did, they wouldn’t have an issue with them using the bathroom. America is not the “land of unification” and this is exactly one of the reasons why.

Shut up. You’re only admitting that cis men are the issue. There has NEVER been a case of a transgender person assaulting someone in the restroom. However, cis people love to harass and assault transgender people in the bathroom. This is just a giant controversial case of meaningless. Transgender people are constantly scared to go in the bathroom, and have been for years, in fear that a cis person would harass them or assault them for being transgender. Cis people have always been the problem when it comes to general safety in the bathroom and will continue to be the problem. But we cannot and will not let the actions of cis people who don’t know their boundaries punish transgender people across the nation.

Although I see the great benefit in having unisex bathrooms along with having gendered bathrooms, I do not expect all transgender people to use unisex bathrooms. If a person identifies as a woman, they aren’t subjected to use a unisex bathroom. They should be able to use the women’s restroom as well. Restricting transgender people from using the bathroom that they feel they should use is only isolating them further and will only serve as a reminder that they aren’t a woman/man.

Transgender men are as much of a man as any other man.

Transgender women are as much of a woman as any other woman.

We are only trying to pee.

Nothing more. 

Nothing less.

So stop trying to play victim and let us do just that.

Have you ever heard how black children try to talk about how they got whoopings (beatings) and try to downplay the constant abuse they endured? Like there’s laughs and stuff (a coping mechanism)  but dip down after everyone tells their story they realize just how much abuse they endured but masked it because we’re taught to “Love our parents and family, no matter what.”   After hearing it for so long, you want to believe it and even trick yourself to, until you just simply can’t anymore.
